Personal Projects

Project Yukon

Solo project created in 2020 that is still in development.

Project Yukon is a third-person adventure where you work together with a fox to solve puzzles and discover the history of an abandoned civilization.

I've been working on this project in my free time since 2020. Through the project, I've improved my skills in using the Unreal Engine and Blueprints in terms of AI behavior trees, procedural animations, and interfaces for use in player-companion interactions.

In addition, I've learned a lot game design principles and practices, such as creating level blockouts, tying storytelling to gameplay, and maintaining a game design document.

Game Jams

Meme Messenger

Created during the VGDC Spring 2020 Game Jam with Joseph Dasilva and Will Carpenter.

Meme Messenger is a rock-paper-scissors type mobile game for Android devices in which you battle contacts on your phone by sending different memes to each other. I was in charge of designing the UI as well as writing the music and coming up with the dialogue for the characters.

Relationships & Repair

Created during the 2020 Global Game Jam with Mikaela Blackwood, Will Carpenter, and Jimmy Zheng.

Relationships & Repair is a puzzle-solving co-op game created in the Unity engine that focuses on the steps in repairing a relationship. On this project, I was in charge of the art, writing, and some of the puzzle elements. I also wrote the music for the game.

Scare Maze

Created during the 2020 VGDC SPOOK Jam with Mitchell, Aaron, Jack Grace, Will Carpenter, Adam Malik, Omar, Udayan Senapati.

Scare Maze is a top-down stealth game where you possess objects in order to hide from and spook the people hunting for you. I was responsible for modeling several of the environmental models as well as modeling and animating the people. I also programmed the people's AI, which included their path-finding and detection systems.

Blender Models & Animations

Capsule Fox

I modeled this fox in Blender for Project Yukon based on the fox skeleton from an asset pack. I designed the model to match the visual style of the human character, in addition to rigging and weight painting the bones to match the original fox asset's as closely as possible.
